Privacy
Built to protect reporters
Reporting what you see shouldn’t put you on the map. WaterWatch is anonymous by default and hides your precise location by design.
Reporter protection
Your exact location is never shown
We keep the precise location private. The public map only ever shows a vague area, so no one else can work out exactly where you were standing.
Your data
What we store
- What you saw: issue types, notes, and any photos you choose to add.
- A deliberately fuzzed location (never your exact position) and the date.
- A random report id, not your name, unless you want to save a history.
You can submit without an account. Signing in only links reports to you so you can save a history and add to them later. It never changes what the public map shows.
